Choose something that interests you, something you're passionate about. Don't choose a project because you think it will be easy, choose one that you will benefit and intrigue you. Stand out, be unique, and have fun with it. (1) · Do what interests you, even if it has nothing to do with your House. (1) · Don't be too hard on yourself. If you don't meet your own expectations, or anyone else's, that isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. Room for improvement is just that. You do what you can do, and you keep going. If someone else is accomplishing a lot, but you can't do as much, that doesn't (1) · Don't rush your Senior year! I was so excited for Senior year to start so that I could be done with high school. When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!! And a backup plan for that. But remember there is a such thing as too safe. Let loose but be prepared for failures and lessons. (1) · It's a little bit overwhelming, but the finished product makes everything worth it. (1) · Respect your teachers, and ALL faculty! Don't vape in the bathrooms and set a good example for the classes below you. And most of all, HAVE FUN NEXT YEAR and live it up. Don't overthink the Senior Capstone, it is a great opportunity to share your voice before you head to college, and for you to do s (1) · Think of some ideas during your junior year. Start narrowing down during the summer. Also: just do it, complain all you want but don’t give your teachers a hard time lol. They don’t get paid enough... (1) · USE YOUR TIME WISELY! No matter how easy you think your project is, it's better to have extra time at the end instead of waiting until last second. (1)

For my project, I created a business that covers Photography, Painting, Prints, Literary Books, Blogging, and More! I hope that my work can make an impact on people, at a reasonable price. My project is intended to help other people through my perception. You can view my entire project at this link: (1) · I've always loved working with kids! I've been volunteering at Mark Twain Elementary for years with my previous teachers and with my youth group. I decided to do my capstone on early childhood learning. I volunteered weekly with Joyce Hembree, a Pre-K teacher at Mark Twain. I assisted her in teachin (1) · It began in 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and lasted until 1918. During the conflict, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers (1) · My original capstone project was to create an irrigation system for the plants in the Commons on top of the bookshelf. I designed the dropper, the base, end caps, the hose splitter, and connectors. I have my irrigation system put together on a metal shelf that I bought to finish the project. My irri (1) · My project is about the issues we currently have with our death investigation system. My hope is to bring awareness to the lack of funding, standards and accreditation of this system. Many professionals in this field are not even certified and that is a huge problem. I would like everyone to be awar (1) · My project is basically just a slide show explaining how high school helped me realize that mental illness is very real, and how it helped me find my passion for helping people. It also helped me decide what I want my future career to be. (1) · This is a written work discussing personal projects and studies in horticulture, and how passionate interests can make a difference in the way we handle negative situations. It isn't all I had wanted it to be, but I think it still delivers the message I wanted to get across. (1) · This is the animation based off of my first art journal of freshman year. It shows things that I’ve seen, thought about, and experienced from my time at TSAS. This video encompasses ending this chapter of my life. (1) · Throughout the year I have been shooting digital and film photography. I have been experimenting by using black and white as well as color film, and Photoshop! I have taken this opportunity to expand my portfolio. (1)

For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1) · I had to change from a tri-fold like presentation to a slideshow which honestly in hindsight worked a lot better and I was able to fit a lot more information on it. (1) · It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. In order for the new system to work I had to completely change the way that the water was going to flow to the plants. (1) · It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) · My first idea was scrapped because I found that I didn’t have a passion for any practical job and couldn’t be happy with settling for an office job. (1) · My plan was to inform everyone that I could about something I feel strongly about. Everyone I have ever shared this information with didn't know about it and agreed something needs to be done. So the purpose was to make people aware and hopefully start the conversation. So far it has gone according (1) · Things absolutely did not go as planned, and I changed my project idea multiple times. In the end, a combination of procrastination, executive dysfunction, depression, and inability to focus left me with nothing to work with and little time to put something together. The events of the past month mad (1) · Things went as planned, and I ended up doing way more than I thought. I imagined this project being way smaller, but then again it is only the beginning of this project too. (1)
Capreflection:
Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a (1) · I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start (1) · I learned a lot about myself. I also learned a lot of new art mediums and started looking at it with an even broader perspective. This year I learned a lot, and with learning changes your perspective of things... It makes you better! (1) · I learned I actually really enjoy color film and I think I'll be using it a lot more often now. (1) · I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. (1) · I learned that Germany's at fault for bring Lenin into Russia which was a really risky move that I'm not entirely sure was worth it. (1) · I've realized I wasn’t happy with living a practical life. I’m not sure if I will go into animation but it’s my #1 option right now. It has the perfect balance of something I like to do and something that is difficult. (1) · The project is nothing like I pictured it would be in the beginning, but I think that's okay. The purpose of capstone was to get us to do something new, and, in kind of an indirect way, I have done that. Hopefully that will be enough. Nothing about this end to my senior year is really satisfying or (1) · This project made me wonder how many more systems that are in place have major issues such as this one and how can we fix them to better those systems so that they continue to work for us not against us.
