I have been super excited about presenting everything I have learned working at Starbucks and promoting within the company since we heard about the capstone project at the end of our sophomore year! As soon as we heard about it I knew I was going to present my promotions at Starbucks and everything I have tracked my progress leading up to my store opening and my improvements in quality. I instead ended up writing 3 chapters and editing them, and, while I'm not the most proud of how they turned out, I'm glad I was able to finally put out some drafts for later writing. I live very close to Greenwood and my teacher pointed out how vastly important the anniversary was. I felt a responsibility to honor the deaths and educate others on how to prevent these tragedies in the future. I made everything available to the public online and made a media out of it. It was actually better than I imagined and far more accessible. I started with a simpler version of this talk because I was going to add an example of what I'm teaching. My goal was to teach the audience with visual, audial, and kinesthetic points for each type of learner. I was going to create a device capable of shocking you at almost any safe voltage and ampe I took away the composition stuff because I found the resin aspect to be way more fun. I also added propmaking because cosplay is something I love doing, and I love designing different aspects of characters that I can make myself. A lot of the projects I had planned had to be cut simply because I di I used a poem and added my two other dances. I was originally going to talk more about how it affects us in modern day but it's not as interesting as the history and fire sadly isn't used that much in the daily lives of modern people. It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. In order for the new system to work I had to completely change the way that the water was going to flow to the plants. It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. My capstone experiences ended up being a blend of non-profit work and teaching. While it didn't follow my initial proposal, what I learned throughout my experience has informed elements of how I am approaching the speech and debate program for incarcerated women. Overall, I decided that I wanted exp My first idea was scrapped because I found that I didn’t have a passion for any practical job and couldn’t be happy with settling for an office job. My plan did change because I wasn’t planning on making a video, I was planning on making a clear display with my photos hanging and lights around them with what I wrote in the center of my display. My plan was to inform everyone that I could about something I feel strongly about. Everyone I have ever shared this information with didn't know about it and agreed something needs to be done. So the purpose was to make people aware and hopefully start the conversation. So far it has gone according Not everything went exactly as I planned it! While I didn't ever change the premise of my Capstone, I had a lot of issues with productivity and eventually, a lack of supplies. I went from aiming for 24-25 models, down to 18, and finally, 16. I think, on my part, I was trying too hard and trying to d Realizing I have no money for it. So it was going as planned, and I even had a backup which is my book I'm writing but I didn't finish my book in time and I wasn't really impressed my how I wrote in my blog, so I changed it to my depop shop, that way all my work is the same but just presented in a different fashion. The core of it went well and I'm pleased with my portfolio. However, as an extra thing I had wanted to include a video to play alongside my portfolio at the capstone booth that would've been essentially a sped up slideshow of all my negatives. They would be in order from freshman year to my senior y The game project would have needed more time for us to fully learn Unity and C#, so we were forced to switch to building a computer. This project was still at least in the field of computer science so it still applied to what I will go on to study in college. The project name was going to be Animal Health including other animals as well but I couldn't include them unfortunately due to having to move. The video was a complete 180 from what I was going to do, which was a bulletin board, but I think it turned out pretty well. Things absolutely did not go as planned, and I changed my project idea multiple times. In the end, a combination of procrastination, executive dysfunction, depression, and inability to focus left me with nothing to work with and little time to put something together. The events of the past month mad Things did go as planned when I moved to doing art work. I was doing the Children's museum and then I changed it to art because I know more about art. Things didn't exactly go as planned with everything going on (of course): I still have prints in the darkroom and all of my photo paper. I'm using what I already have, which in my opinion I think is still enough. Things didn't go exactly as planned, of course as stated many times it's not the most polished thing in the world but I feel like I could have maybe added more. Things didn't really go as planned at all. I was excited for the upcoming Musical at our school, but Covid-19 started to spread and unfortunately school had to close and the musical was cancelled. Originally I was going to describe my experience as a Stage Manager, but then I decided to include how Things went as planned, and I ended up doing way more than I thought. I imagined this project being way smaller, but then again it is only the beginning of this project too. Unfortunately my idea for the etchings went out the window as the trip was postponed. Also, etching is a difficult type of printmaking that requires the copper plate to be dipped in acid. Without my own studio, doing these would prove impossible. I was able to finish one of the big linoleum plates a We weren't able to film any of it. With the basic aspect of my project, yes, it generally went as planned. While I did write the the one song that I originally planned on writing, my project still doesn't look exactly as I imagined it would. Yeah, they went as planned. I had originally planned to do it with my other friends who went to Tulsa Tech, so you could see the comparison between the experiences. Yes I planned but it got ruined so I had to do it at home. My plan was to perform while selling my art work. We saw this coming, too. Yes Things went as planned and no nothing was adjusted.
