(1) · Capstone can seem really overwhelming at first, but it's really what you make and take away from it. It is a great way to show your creativity and teach others about something you learned. Definitely start brainstorming ideas because your capstone might change from what you initially thought it woul (1) · Determination and being honest with yourself is key—don't sign yourself up for a project that's too much to handle no matter how ideal it sounds. Choose one you won't grow tired of and can stay dedicated to through and through. (1) · Do not procrastinate. No matter how much you want to, don't do it. Because you're going to regret it. Ask your teachers for help because I promise you they want to help, and they want you to succeed. (1) · Do what you love and know. (1) · Don't be too hard on yourself. (1) · Don't get to attached to your first idea, because it's going to change and one thing I had to let go, well try to let go, was my need to have everything be perfect, because it won't be perfect but you have to still do it and can't give up. (1) · Don't miss out on opportunities that I wish I have taken more advantage of. I hope by seeing all the seniors' presentations you are inspired to know what you want to do for your career. (1) · Don't rush your Senior year! I was so excited for Senior year to start so that I could be done with high school. When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · Don't stress too much (1) · Don’t procrastinate!!! That was the biggest struggle for me was actually sitting down and doing the work. Also my capstone ended up changing multiple times and that’s okay. Not everything will work and all you can really do is try something else. (1) · Go to Tulsa Tech, that’s it. You always have a head start, or even it you don’t want to do it you will have a skill or trade to fall back on. (1) · Honestly, don’t take school as a joke, as much as high school is an incredible experience and such a time to be alive (you know, like the “young wild and free” quote). But please remember this a time to also represent yourself and who you are wanting to become. I know it’s silly coming from (1) · I want to tell all the rising seniors to strive for what you want in life and don't give up because God has a plan for everyone have faith. (1) · If anybody wants to do a virtual prom that would be cool—class of 2020 is not over yet! Keep your head up high and....WASH YO HANDS!!!! (1) · If you're doing darkroom photography, don't give up. The stress and the aggravation is worth it. If you have given photography, especially film, a try and didn't like it—that's okay! (1) · If your ever think about spray painting, only spray paint that which is your property. Never go around places and spray paint anything that you think will be cool/funny/a good way to get revenge. Never play around. (1) · It's 100% okay to change your mind. And not know what you're going to do at first. I was super nervous about it and had no idea what to do. Just try some things out! (1) · It's a little bit overwhelming, but the finished product makes everything worth it. (1) · Pick something you love doing, but maybe something you don't know much about. Then you'll be able to have your school project and also have fun while doing it. There were many times I forgot I was working for a grade and I just enjoyed what I was doing, so it still turned out great. (1) · Pick something you love. You will be spending a lot of time at this location and it is more enjoyable if you love it. (1) · Respect your teachers, and ALL faculty! Don't vape in the bathrooms and set a good example for the classes below you. And most of all, HAVE FUN NEXT YEAR and live it up. Don't overthink the Senior Capstone, it is a great opportunity to share your voice before you head to college, and for you to do s (1) · Start at the beginning of the year. (1) · Start early and gradually work on it. (1) · Start it early. (1) · Start your capstone early in the year, be brave, and have confidence. When you enter a room, demand attention with your presence. Be the best you, you can be! (1) · Stay true to you. What you love doing can be your Capstone and just trust the process. (1) · Think of some ideas during your junior year. Start narrowing down during the summer. Also: just do it, complain all you want but don’t give your teachers a hard time lol. They don’t get paid enough... (1) · Turn in your artifacts! They seem stupid but you will forget all of the cool stuff you have done for your project. (1) · USE YOUR TIME WISELY! No matter how easy you think your project is, it's better to have extra time at the end instead of waiting until last second. (1) · We’re told as seniors to get our “money up” but we’re not told don’t forget you have to feel and look good while doing it. (1) · When you get an idea, make sure it's you—that it has a meaning to you—and make sure the people that see it know that is what you want to do in the future. (1)

A resource website, gallery and poetry demonstration, that was all transferred and adapted into a website that can be freely explored by the user. The resources include legal and health services for those who do not have documentation, but also include local Mexican-owned businesses to support. Also (1) · After quitting gymnastics at 13, I've struggled to find an interest that I actually enjoy or find fulfilling!! It's a lot harder than people make it out to be. So, I've decided to run through some different art forms and see what suits me. For capstone, I decided to try some jewelry making. I took s (1) · Along the way, taking baby steps, I will learn and understand about people’s view. A lot of people see graffiti as a crime, but not for me. I see it as an beautiful image that people wouldn’t understand. Later on in street art, my art work will turn out to be a new meaning for graffiti. (1) · “Forever Youth” is something we can all relate to. I believe that no matter what age you are, you are truly never too young to experience something new. I would have never understood this concept if it wasn't for enjoying (more like loving) the kpop group BTS. Silly, right? I never knew enjoying (1) · Before this whole mess started, I was going to be a Stage Manager in our school’s musical production “The Addams Family.” I was given the position as stage manager because my teacher, Ms. Gates, saw me as a responsible student and trusted me to watch over a group of students. I wanted to show viewers that although we may look, speak, or act a different way from each other, it shouldn't divide us. For this project I focused on resin, sewing, and propmaking (for cosplay). (1) · My capstone is my depop shop. I started making jewelry sophomore year, and selling it. This year I expanded it by learning other skills, such as sewing stuffed animals and embroidery. So my presentation is me explaining how I started it, my inspiration, how I package orders, and stuff like that. (1) · My capstone project is the process of carving and printing. Starting out with the original drawing I have in my sketchbook to having a print. (1) · My capstone shows how to make brownies from scratch that mimic the brownies you see in stores. I will show my recipe and ingredients and compare them to the ingredients in the store bought brownies. I researched what all is in the Little Debbie cosmic brownies and made my recipe to match the look of (1) · My project is artwork and painting, realistic and cartoon. A lot of different colors. (1) · My project is basically just a slide show explaining how high school helped me realize that mental illness is very real, and how it helped me find my passion for helping people. It also helped me decide what I want my future career to be. (1) · My project is fluid painting or paint pouring. I find this very therapeutic and relaxing. (1) · My project is over what I've learned through the years I’ve been engaged with photography. Also, how I got into doing photography and what made me find my style in photography. (1) · My project was going to be a scooter edit. It was back when I was more into scootering and I know it's not good but I tried my best with the limited skills I have. (1) · Pictures and videos of me talking about my experience and what my time at the Children's Museum was all about. (1) · This is a project of just my everyday life at Tulsa Tech. It also shows the difference between it and a traditional high school. Also how it affected my future and also how it helped me get jobs, internship, etc. (1) · This is a written work discussing personal projects and studies in horticulture, and how passionate interests can make a difference in the way we handle negative situations. It isn't all I had wanted it to be, but I think it still delivers the message I wanted to get across. (1) · This is the animation based off of my first art journal of freshman year. It shows things that I’ve seen, thought about, and experienced from my time at TSAS. This video encompasses ending this chapter of my life. (1) · Throughout the year I have been shooting digital and film photography. I have been experimenting by using black and white as well as color film, and Photoshop! I have taken this opportunity to expand my portfolio. (1) · Urban darkroom photography that has been shot around Downtown Tulsa. (1) · Well essentially its my photography portfolio. All images are black and white film dark room prints that have been scanned in; other than one color film negative scan. (1) · An interactive project that includes resources for people without insurance or documentation that may need to reach out, all of the resources listed will have bilingual services available, it would also include, artwork and a photo gallery. (1) · I decided to volunteer with elementary school kids at Mark Twain Elementary and later on at the Common Good. (1) · I described my capstone as "a series of paintings that speak for different types of people." It was exactly as I ended up with! I wanted to expose people to the concept of our differences being skin deep. Regardless of our born identities, we aren't different. Our cultures may be different, and our (1) · I had always planned to involve my art in my capstone. (1) · I originally described it as a furthering of talents I already had — learning composition for drawings and paintings, making my own molds and designing my own resin pieces, and learning how to sew better (I had basic knowledge before). (1) · I originally was writing a blog on the different hobbies and skills I was teaching myself and documenting the progress and how it shaped me as a person. (1) · I planned a beekeeping project but never started. (1) · I said I would be doing a PowerPoint presentation on the history of the Tulsa SPCA. I said "wire-wrapping/embroidery/jewelry" project, and before that I thought about photography, but came up with my idea quite late comparatively. (1) · I started with an animation video explaining my plan to balance my practical job with my art job. (1) · I started with the children's museum and then I moved to art. (1) · I started with the idea of showing a tutorial on how to bake something from scratch. (1) · I started with what got me into photography and how it changed my point of view with art, and how to create stories behind the art from one’s view. (1) · I was going to be volunteering at a local children’s museum. My capstone about this was to discuss the importance and livelihood of service to the community. (1) · I was going to track my progress both in improvement of quality but also how my store had gone (thanks COVID). (1) · It started as a self love project, but over time I realized that it wouldn't be possible to finish in quarantine. So, I decided to make a photography website (1) · It was about old English vs new English at first, but then I loved Discovery Lab so I did that instead. (1) · It was supposed to be like a Ted Talk where I would have more visuals and charts, but I didn't have as much time to put it together so I did the best I could. (1) · Making a water to combustible gas conversion engine. (1) · Music to Darkroom photography (1) · My experience the same as I finished it. (1) · My initial idea was to document the process of becoming a shift supervisor at Starbucks, but because my store was in need of a supervisor and everyone I worked with was waiting on me to turn 18 so I could promote anyway, I ended up skipping a lot of the process. Since COVID -19 I am beyond proud to (1) · My initial plan was to create a book where I put my photography and literature media all together. (1) · My proposal was a history of art and why people keep making it. (1) · Originally, I wanted to just print out pictures of the teachers I've had and get some tracing paper and trace it onto the canvas. (1) · Originally, my capstone started out with expanding my skill set with different kinds of printmaking to expand my portfolio. I had planned on doing three linoleum prints, three etchings, and printing on textile with soft blocks. The linoleum and the etching pieces were going to be a series of three, (1) · Photography was the starting project and is the continued project. (1) · Starting a Photography Business (1) · The first project I had decided on was to make a book of simple pleasures, in order to create something that could have a positive impact on both me and other people. In a way I came back around to that same theme although centralized on gardening and horticulture. (1) · Well, when I first did my proposal I first was planning on doing it on what I learned from the EMSA program, but I felt like it wasn't enough information for it. (1)

None (3) · Although capstone did take an unexpected turn, it wasn't difficult to adjust to the new changes. (1) · At first my project revolved around wire-wrapping and jewelry in general, and then I realized I enjoy making earrings more. As I continued making earrings and trying to do it with only beading, I realized I enjoyed making earrings out of fun objects and creatures more than only using beading. Anothe (1) · Due to lack of enrichment and work, I decided to change my capstone to photography. Luckily enough, I had already been attending a photo class. Ms. Butcher took me under her wing right away to help brainstorm and envision how to build a portfolio and give an artist statement. (1) · First I was going to do a video of how my experience went but it didn't work out, so I had to take pictures instead. I adjusted a lot by using more materials for my project. At first it was all about my EMSA program experience, but I felt like I didn't have enough information on it so I decided to d (1) · For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · Honestly I changed my plan a lot, I was supposed to make a magazine, I ended up making a little online portfolio. But also to add I think this turned out way better then I thought, as I started getting paid for my design work as I started to work with more people. (1) · I added information about the services they provide. (1) · I completely changed mine because I was behind already, school ended, and this is what I could come up with. (1) · I completely started over and changed my entire project. (1) · I decided on top of showing how to bake from scratch.I would also compare the ingredients to store bought baked goods which often have a lot more preservatives and additives. I would definitely say things went as planned and the brownies turned out great. (1) · I decided to change the way I sketched the paintings. I had talks with Karner and Foshee about how I could make this project better. They asked why I was tracing instead of drawing it myself. I took a couple of days to process that as well. Why was I doing that? It always felt like I was a fake ever (1) · I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1) · I have been super excited about presenting everything I have learned working at Starbucks and promoting within the company since we heard about the capstone project at the end of our sophomore year! As soon as we heard about it I knew I was going to present my promotions at Starbucks and everything (1) · I have tracked my progress leading up to my store opening and my improvements in quality. (1) · I made everything available to the public online and made a media out of it. It was actually better than I imagined and far more accessible. (1) · I took away the composition stuff because I found the resin aspect to be way more fun. I also added propmaking because cosplay is something I love doing, and I love designing different aspects of characters that I can make myself. A lot of the projects I had planned had to be cut simply because I di (1) · It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) · My first idea was scrapped because I found that I didn’t have a passion for any practical job and couldn’t be happy with settling for an office job. (1) · My plan did change because I wasn’t planning on making a video, I was planning on making a clear display with my photos hanging and lights around them with what I wrote in the center of my display. (1) · Not everything went exactly as I planned it! While I didn't ever change the premise of my Capstone, I had a lot of issues with productivity and eventually, a lack of supplies. I went from aiming for 24-25 models, down to 18, and finally, 16. I think, on my part, I was trying too hard and trying to d (1) · Realizing I have no money for it. (1) · So it was going as planned, and I even had a backup which is my book I'm writing but I didn't finish my book in time and I wasn't really impressed my how I wrote in my blog, so I changed it to my depop shop, that way all my work is the same but just presented in a different fashion. (1) · The core of it went well and I'm pleased with my portfolio. However, as an extra thing I had wanted to include a video to play alongside my portfolio at the capstone booth that would've been essentially a sped up slideshow of all my negatives. They would be in order from freshman year to my senior y (1) · The video was a complete 180 from what I was going to do, which was a bulletin board, but I think it turned out pretty well. (1) · Things absolutely did not go as planned, and I changed my project idea multiple times. In the end, a combination of procrastination, executive dysfunction, depression, and inability to focus left me with nothing to work with and little time to put something together. The events of the past month mad (1) · Things did go as planned when I moved to doing art work. I was doing the Children's museum and then I changed it to art because I know more about art. (1) · Things didn't exactly go as planned with everything going on (of course): I still have prints in the darkroom and all of my photo paper. I'm using what I already have, which in my opinion I think is still enough. (1) · Things didn't really go as planned at all. I was excited for the upcoming Musical at our school, but Covid-19 started to spread and unfortunately school had to close and the musical was cancelled. Originally I was going to describe my experience as a Stage Manager, but then I decided to include how (1) · Things went as planned, and I ended up doing way more than I thought. I imagined this project being way smaller, but then again it is only the beginning of this project too. (1) · Unfortunately my idea for the etchings went out the window as the trip was postponed. Also, etching is a difficult type of printmaking that requires the copper plate to be dipped in acid. Without my own studio, doing these would prove impossible. I was able to finish one of the big linoleum plates a (1) · Yeah, they went as planned. I had originally planned to do it with my other friends who went to Tulsa Tech, so you could see the comparison between the experiences. (1) · Yes I planned but it got ruined so I had to do it at home. My plan was to perform while selling my art work. We saw this coming, too. (1) · Yes Things went as planned and no nothing was adjusted. (1)

A learned why people hate graffiti and think it’s a crime. I’m learning it as if I was just born. (1) · As I put this project together (gather photos and look through artifacts) I am realizing more and more that my coworkers are the best part of my job. From starting as a barista and working alongside most of them to learning from my supervisors (and friends) to becoming one of them. All of my barista (1) · As I started going I learned I just like really only doing graphic work and also making one at a time. Not involving my other interest (as much as I love photography), but just focusing on one thing—it’s nice and more fun for me that way. I think my biggest take away is that although my work isn (1) · Crocheting is a learning process—you have to have determination and dedication to improve and develop your own styles and preferences. (1) · Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a (1) · I became a better artist, and I had fewer screw-ups. I have a lot more experience than I do a year ago, for sure, especially with exposures and printing images. (1) · I had a good time painting and making the project. (1) · I had to quit scooting shortly after the problem, so I wish I was able to make it better sorry. (1) · I learned a lot about myself. I also learned a lot of new art mediums and started looking at it with an even broader perspective. This year I learned a lot, and with learning changes your perspective of things... It makes you better! (1) · I learned I actually really enjoy color film and I think I'll be using it a lot more often now. (1) · I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. (1) · I learned that it is a lot harder to do something than to say you're going to do them. I wanted to compensate for what I felt insecure about, and struggled a lot because of it. I think my takeaway, really, is to pace myself. I would go between periods of excess and then nothing at all, and felt a lo (1) · I learned that it takes time and focus. (1) · I learned that you shouldn't be afraid to put yourself out there. My takeaway is that this project is very important to me. (1) · I learned the important values of responsibility, dedication, teamwork, and leadership. (1) · I learned there are many opportunities you can try from seeing everybody's presentation and you might want to try out that for your own career. I wish I could be hands-on, showing you guys what I'm really capable of. (1) · I learned to stay true to my style and trust the process. Also how I need to realize that I'm not going to be a professional painter/artist overnight. Also stop giving myself such a hard time. (1) · I learned to tackle my computer better. I learned how to make a website and that was not really what I had in mind, but I came out with a better outcome from this. It was trial and error. (1) · I love teaching and I hope that I can teach a lot of kids!! (1) · I love working with animals and will look into careers with animals. (1) · I reflected over the numerous art mediums that I wouldn't have tried if I hadn't gone to TSAS. (1) · I was overworking myself and took on too big of a workload. (1) · I wouldn't say I have any takeaways from the capstone itself, but I do think it served as a catalyst to hone in on my photography. (1) · I've realized I wasn’t happy with living a practical life. I’m not sure if I will go into animation but it’s my #1 option right now. It has the perfect balance of something I like to do and something that is difficult. (1) · I, weirdly enough, learned something about confidence, which I just wasn't expecting considering this is a project about creating jewelry. I felt pride in something I had created and I got excited to show people it. It's been a minute! I absolutely loved learning a new skill and using my hands. (1) · I’ve learned that one idea takes you to another, and becomes bigger than you were even planning on making it. (1) · It just helped me realize how much TulsaTech has done for me. (1) · It was pretty cool to see the inside of the engines and learning new things. (1) · Like everything in the world right now, life is unpredictable. Things don't go as planned and that’s very true with art as well. Learning how to adapt to how life is currently and finishing out my senior year has had it difficulties, but like with anything you can’t give up and quit. Printmaking (1) · Our generation sadly cares more about passing than learning, though I don’t know who’s fault it is. (1) · Resin is way more finicky than I ever imagined. It's also not safe to touch without gloves. That was a good scare. Also, fur fabrics are the bane of my existence, but they're worth using because they cover up seam mistakes (also if you use the right ones, they're such a nice texture!). I also lear (1) · That art work has been going on for a while and art can change your view of it (1) · That I might want to work with children as a career. (1) · The project is nothing like I pictured it would be in the beginning, but I think that's okay. The purpose of capstone was to get us to do something new, and, in kind of an indirect way, I have done that. Hopefully that will be enough. Nothing about this end to my senior year is really satisfying or (1) · This project was my first time making brownies in particular from scratch. I was also modeling my recipe so they would look similar to the cosmic brownies I compared them to. I also learned a lot about ingredients and what all is put in the snack cakes you see in stores. It was very enlightening bec (1) · Well I learned how to embroider, and a bunch of other little skills like that. I also have been able to explore subcultures that I enjoy through fashion, and making mainly jewelry based off of them. It, over all, was a really fun project and I got to know myself better through it. (1)
