None (2) · Capstone can seem really overwhelming at first, but it's really what you make and take away from it. It is a great way to show your creativity and teach others about something you learned. Definitely start brainstorming ideas because your capstone might change from what you initially thought it woul (1) · Choose something that interests you, something you're passionate about. Don't choose a project because you think it will be easy, choose one that you will benefit and intrigue you. Stand out, be unique, and have fun with it. (1) · Do what interests you, even if it has nothing to do with your House. (1) · Don't get to attached to your first idea, because it's going to change and one thing I had to let go, well try to let go, was my need to have everything be perfect, because it won't be perfect but you have to still do it and can't give up. (1) · Go to Tulsa Tech, that’s it. You always have a head start, or even it you don’t want to do it you will have a skill or trade to fall back on. (1) · Have fun in your capstone class but don't forget to actually do your work, and do your artifacts they will help more than you think! (1) · It's 100% okay to change your mind. And not know what you're going to do at first. I was super nervous about it and had no idea what to do. Just try some things out! (1) · Make a plan at the beginning of the year, see if it is possible or acceptable, see how everything is going to work, and give it your best. (1) · My advice for the next seniors. . . hmmmm. Capstone-wise, choose something that challenges you but it also excites you. It is supposed to be something that connects to what you want to do in the future so it should be something you enjoy. For just senior year in general, enjoy the moments you have (1) · Pick something you love. You will be spending a lot of time at this location and it is more enjoyable if you love it. (1) · Plan what you want to do. I have friends who are astounding in their fields and can easily create a project. They know how to do research and can acquire the skills needed to complete whatever they want. If this is not true to you, TSAS has a wonderful and talented staff willing to help you. The und (1) · Start it early. (1) · Start your capstone early in the year, be brave, and have confidence. When you enter a room, demand attention with your presence. Be the best you, you can be! (1) · Take as many notes as possible and stay organized. (1) · There are going to be moments of frustration with essentially any project you attempt; don't let those moments prevent you from finding solutions and making progress on your work. Additionally, while you are first trying to land on a project idea, try to ensure that you are working on something that (1) · USE YOUR TIME WISELY! No matter how easy you think your project is, it's better to have extra time at the end instead of waiting until last second. (1)

A slide show of some of the topics I went through in the TulsaTech class "Cyber security and forensics." Though it may not be the most polished thing in the world, I wanted to at least make the average computer/phone user aware of the different types of security threats that one could face while onl (1) · After quitting gymnastics at 13, I've struggled to find an interest that I actually enjoy or find fulfilling!! It's a lot harder than people make it out to be. So, I've decided to run through some different art forms and see what suits me. For capstone, I decided to try some jewelry making. I took s (1) · I did a PowerPoint presentation about the History of the Tulsa SPCA, the Service they provide, and the volunteering I did for them. (1) · In my capstone I will talk about the different mediums that I explored during my time at TSAS. I also included various figures that inspired me along the way. (1) · It began in 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and lasted until 1918. During the conflict, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers (1) · Learning about small engines and dirt bikes, lawn mowers and four wheelers, and power washers and weed-eaters and other stuff. (1) · My capstone exploration is a blend of two experiences wherein I believe that the importance of using your voice is emphasized. The first element of my capstone was to co-teach TSAS's novice speech and debate class alongside Mrs. Hughes. The second element was the continuation of my work with the non (1) · My capstone is about how my internship at discovery lab affected my future career in teaching. The internship taught me responsibility, patience, and amiability in stressful situations. (1) · My capstone is my depop shop. I started making jewelry sophomore year, and selling it. This year I expanded it by learning other skills, such as sewing stuffed animals and embroidery. So my presentation is me explaining how I started it, my inspiration, how I package orders, and stuff like that. (1) · My capstone shows how to make brownies from scratch that mimic the brownies you see in stores. I will show my recipe and ingredients and compare them to the ingredients in the store bought brownies. I researched what all is in the Little Debbie cosmic brownies and made my recipe to match the look of (1) · My project entails a brief history of clogging, then goes into my journey of musical theatre and how it led me to tap dancing. This lead me on the road to learning a new, different type of dance that I never considered before. (1) · My project is a talk about current flow and the dangers it may have, but mostly a better understanding of it. Once the talk is complete, you should walk away with a deeper knowledge of current as well as a simple definition for amperage, wattage and voltage. You will be able to read an electricity l (1) · My project is about canine health and how I helped my dogs with common sicknesses or injuries that they could have gotten from walks or going to the dog park. (1) · My project is about fire and its effect on humanity. Fire has shaped us since the very beginning, it was the first ever technological advancement that literally sparked everything for us. Fire is even theorized to be the reason we had the ability to evolve into what we are today. (1) · My project is about the issues we currently have with our death investigation system. My hope is to bring awareness to the lack of funding, standards and accreditation of this system. Many professionals in this field are not even certified and that is a huge problem. I would like everyone to be awar (1) · My project is basically just a slide show explaining how high school helped me realize that mental illness is very real, and how it helped me find my passion for helping people. It also helped me decide what I want my future career to be. (1) · My project is basically talking about how social media changes our brains and how we deal with those changes. It talks about many statistics and studies that scientists and universities have done on the brain itself. (1) · This is a project of just my everyday life at Tulsa Tech. It also shows the difference between it and a traditional high school. Also how it affected my future and also how it helped me get jobs, internship, etc. (1)

None (2) · A sort of TED talk like presentation. (1) · Fire and its effect on us both in history and in modern day. (1) · I described it the same: how social media effects a person and how it changes your mind. (1) · I had always planned to involve my art in my capstone. (1) · I originally was going to do the history of chemical warfare. (1) · I originally was writing a blog on the different hobbies and skills I was teaching myself and documenting the progress and how it shaped me as a person. (1) · I said I would be doing a PowerPoint presentation on the history of the Tulsa SPCA. (1) · I started with a pretty vague proposal if I recall. I said "wire-wrapping/embroidery/jewelry" project, and before that I thought about photography, but came up with my idea quite late comparatively. (1) · I started with the idea of showing a tutorial on how to bake something from scratch. (1) · I will give a talk about the dangers of electricity and teach my audience about amperage, voltage, and wattage. My goal is to teach in a way that all audience members can learn: visual, audial, and kinesthetic methods. Talks along with some form of presentation will fulfill two of the three categori (1) · It was about old English vs new English at first, but then I loved Discovery Lab so I did that instead. (1) · It was supposed to be like a Ted Talk where I would have more visuals and charts, but I didn't have as much time to put it together so I did the best I could. (1) · My experience the same as I finished it. (1) · My original proposal was learning how to clog and working on my speed and my knowledge of a different dancing type. (1) · Originally, I proposed teaching incarcerated women speech and debate as my documented capstone experience. I planned on teaching two units—a beginner and an advanced class—that met once a week at either David L. Moss Correctional Center in Tulsa or Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud. (1) · This project is intended to bring awareness to the problems with our death investigation system, because there are many. This is not a common topic of conversation so not many people are aware of these issues and that is a problem. (1)

None (2) · Although capstone did take an unexpected turn, it wasn't difficult to adjust to the new changes. (1) · At first my project revolved around wire-wrapping and jewelry in general, and then I realized I enjoy making earrings more. As I continued making earrings and trying to do it with only beading, I realized I enjoyed making earrings out of fun objects and creatures more than only using beading. Anothe (1) · For the final project I am submitting a slide presentation of how I got the idea of learning how to clog instead of taking a video of myself doing the dance with my costume and music. (1) · I added information about the services they provide. (1) · I decided on top of showing how to bake from scratch.I would also compare the ingredients to store bought baked goods which often have a lot more preservatives and additives. I would definitely say things went as planned and the brownies turned out great. (1) · I had to change from a tri-fold like presentation to a slideshow which honestly in hindsight worked a lot better and I was able to fit a lot more information on it. (1) · I had to change my Capstone some. I was going to interview people about how social media effects them specifically, but that obviously wasn’t able to happen. (1) · I started with a simpler version of this talk because I was going to add an example of what I'm teaching. My goal was to teach the audience with visual, audial, and kinesthetic points for each type of learner. I was going to create a device capable of shocking you at almost any safe voltage and ampe (1) · I was originally going to talk more about how it affects us in modern day but it's not as interesting as the history and fire sadly isn't used that much in the daily lives of modern people. (1) · It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) · My capstone experiences ended up being a blend of non-profit work and teaching. While it didn't follow my initial proposal, what I learned throughout my experience has informed elements of how I am approaching the speech and debate program for incarcerated women. Overall, I decided that I wanted exp (1) · My plan was to inform everyone that I could about something I feel strongly about. Everyone I have ever shared this information with didn't know about it and agreed something needs to be done. So the purpose was to make people aware and hopefully start the conversation. So far it has gone according (1) · So it was going as planned, and I even had a backup which is my book I'm writing but I didn't finish my book in time and I wasn't really impressed my how I wrote in my blog, so I changed it to my depop shop, that way all my work is the same but just presented in a different fashion. (1) · The project name was going to be Animal Health including other animals as well but I couldn't include them unfortunately due to having to move. (1) · Things didn't go exactly as planned, of course as stated many times it's not the most polished thing in the world but I feel like I could have maybe added more. (1) · Yeah, they went as planned. I had originally planned to do it with my other friends who went to Tulsa Tech, so you could see the comparison between the experiences. (1)

I knew the information I was providing beforehand, but I learned quite a lot through the process of trying to share that knowledge with others. creating a talk that has a lot of information in it was proven counterproductive as people may get more confused or less drawn toward the subject. It was a (1) · i learned that even though I won't get a grade out of finishing the dance, it is something I want to do. I want to finish it and see it through the end, I think its worth it if i want to further my skills and techniques in dancing. (1) · I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. (1) · I learned that Germany's at fault for bring Lenin into Russia which was a really risky move that I'm not entirely sure was worth it. (1) · I learned that not all dog breeds are the same with sicknesses or even injuries, I also learned how to sanitize properly and safely for animals. The takeaways were having to realize that not all you try to save might make it, but at least you tried and gave them hope at the end. (1) · I love teaching and I hope that I can teach a lot of kids!! (1) · I love working with animals and will look into careers with animals. (1) · I really want to cook now, knowing the impact it has had on my ancestors. Also research can be fun. (1) · I reflected over the numerous art mediums that I wouldn't have tried if I hadn't gone to TSAS. (1) · I, weirdly enough, learned something about confidence, which I just wasn't expecting considering this is a project about creating jewelry. I felt pride in something I had created and I got excited to show people it. It's been a minute! I absolutely loved learning a new skill and using my hands. (1) · I’m glad that I did something I was genuinely interested in. I use social media frequently so I was curious about the studies done on it. (1) · It just helped me realize how much TulsaTech has done for me. (1) · It was pretty cool to see the inside of the engines and learning new things. (1) · One of my takeaways from my capstone—and senior year as a whole—is to define what your limits are and to be realistic and flexible with your expectations for yourself. Sometimes, what seems like a "waste of time" can end up being fundamental in how you move forward. The capstone experience taugh (1) · This project made me wonder how many more systems that are in place have major issues such as this one and how can we fix them to better those systems so that they continue to work for us not against us. (1) · This project was my first time making brownies in particular from scratch. I was also modeling my recipe so they would look similar to the cosmic brownies I compared them to. I also learned a lot about ingredients and what all is put in the snack cakes you see in stores. It was very enlightening bec (1) · Well I learned how to embroider, and a bunch of other little skills like that. I also have been able to explore subcultures that I enjoy through fashion, and making mainly jewelry based off of them. It, over all, was a really fun project and I got to know myself better through it. (1) · While going to the Tulsa Tech for this capstone, I've learned many different things. Sure there was the initial cyber security, but I've also learned small bits of networking, and operating systems. Mainly different types of cyber attacks as shown in the slideshow, but also different types of connec (1)
