They will absolutely help you with what you need! Don't procrastinate an (1) · Be your own best friend. (1) · Can't really give advice! All I can say is plan ahead and plan early. (1) · Capstone isn’t that difficult, choose something you’re interested in it will make it easier! (1) · Determination and being honest with yourself is key—don't sign yourself up for a project that's too much to handle no matter how ideal it sounds. Choose one you won't grow tired of and can stay dedicated to through and through. (1) · Do it as fast as you can because you can’t predict what can happen. (1) · Do it. (1) · Do not procrastinate. No matter how much you want to, don't do it. Because you're going to regret it. Ask your teachers for help because I promise you they want to help, and they want you to succeed. If you don't meet your own expectations, or anyone else's, that isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. Room for improvement is just that. You do what you can do, and you keep going. (1) · Don't miss out on opportunities that I wish I have taken more advantage of. I hope by seeing all the seniors' presentations you are inspired to know what you want to do for your career. (1) · Don't rush your Senior year! I was so excited for Senior year to start so that I could be done with high school. When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · Don't stress too much (1) · Don’t procrastinate!!! That was the biggest struggle for me was actually sitting down and doing the work. Also my capstone ended up changing multiple times and that’s okay. Not everything will work and all you can really do is try something else. (1) · HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!! And a backup plan for that. But remember there is a such thing as too safe. Let loose but be prepared for failures and lessons. (1) · Honestly, don’t take school as a joke, as much as high school is an incredible experience and such a time to be alive (you know, like the “young wild and free” quote). But please remember this a time to also represent yourself and who you are wanting to become. I know it’s silly coming from (1) · I think that really making it about something you're already passionate about is super important. It's only as much extra work as you make it really. My paper is fairly concise but it's the accumulation of work I've been doing for a long time. Don't write it off immediately and finish it in the end, (1) · I want to tell all the rising seniors to strive for what you want in life and don't give up because God has a plan for everyone have faith. (1) · If anybody wants to do a virtual prom that would be cool—class of 2020 is not over yet! Keep your head up high and....WASH YO HANDS!!!! (1) · If it's hard, the reward is more fulfilling. If you have a skill or talent, pursue it, don't wait for tomorrow or next week. All the time you have is now. Years from now when you see your practice pay off is when you truly appreciate practice. (1) · If your ever think about spray painting, only spray paint that which is your property. Never go around places and spray paint anything that you think will be cool/funny/a good way to get revenge. Never play around. (1) · It's a little bit overwhelming, but the finished product makes everything worth it. (1) · Make sure you plan out your capstone well, and set your goals reasonably accounting for personal work ethic. (1) · Pick something you love. You will be spending a lot of time at this location and it is more enjoyable if you love it. (1) · Respect your teachers, and ALL faculty! Don't vape in the bathrooms and set a good example for the classes below you. And most of all, HAVE FUN NEXT YEAR and live it up. Don't overthink the Senior Capstone, it is a great opportunity to share your voice before you head to college, and for you to do s (1) · Start at the beginning of the year. (1) · There are going to be moments of frustration with essentially any project you attempt; don't let those moments prevent you from finding solutions and making progress on your work. Start narrowing down during the summer. Also: just do it, complain all you want but don’t give your teachers a hard time lol. They don’t get paid enough... Along the way, taking baby steps, I will learn and understand about people’s view. A lot of people see graffiti as a crime, but not for me. I see it as an beautiful image that people wouldn’t understand. Later on in street art, my art work will turn out to be a new meaning for graffiti. (1) · “Forever Youth” is something we can all relate to. I believe that no matter what age you are, you are truly never too young to experience something new. I would have never understood this concept if it wasn't for enjoying (more like loving) the kpop group BTS. Silly, right? I never knew enjoying (1) · Before this whole mess started, I was going to be a Stage Manager in our school’s musical production “The Addams Family.” I was given the position as stage manager because my teacher, Ms. Gates, saw me as a responsible student and trusted me to watch over a group of students. (1) · My senior project is a small time line of my running experience at TSAS and all the medals and awards I've won during my time there. I also have pictures when I went overseas to run. (1) · Pictures and videos of me talking about my experience and what my time at the Children's Museum was all about. (1) · This is a written work discussing personal projects and studies in horticulture, and how passionate interests can make a difference in the way we handle negative situations. It isn't all I had wanted it to be, but I think it still delivers the message I wanted to get across. (1) · This is the animation based off of my first art journal of freshman year. It shows things that I’ve seen, thought about, and experienced from my time at TSAS. This video encompasses ending this chapter of my life. (1) · Throughout the year I have been shooting digital and film photography. I have been experimenting by using black and white as well as color film, and Photoshop! I have taken this opportunity to expand my portfolio. (1) · We use computers every day of our lives, but have you ever stopped to ask what all the parts inside your computer do? I decided to tackle that question head on by having my friend and computer expert Maxwell Mahabir walk me through the process of building myself a new computer from the ground up. Be (1) · Well essentially its my photography portfolio. All images are black and white film dark room prints that have been scanned in; other than one color film negative scan. The portfolio had two goals for me: the capstone and submissions for OSAI Quartz Mountain. (1) · Essentially this journal was going to be the back up to a video of me camping in the wilderness actually eating these plants. I wanted to expose people to the concept of our differences being skin deep. Regardless of our born identities, we aren't different. Our cultures may be different, and our (1) · I originally started out with an idea to create a book about the physio-psychological impacts of music. But as time went on I kept gravitating towards piano and eventually decided to make a song on piano instead. (1) · I originally was going to do the history of chemical warfare. (1) · I said I would be doing a PowerPoint presentation on the history of the Tulsa SPCA. (1) · I started off with wanting to teach myself how to crochet, but after talking with Ms Gates, she helped me to decide what I wanted to do with my Capstone. (1) · I started with an animation video explaining my plan to balance my practical job with my art job. (1) · I started with the children's museum and then I moved to art. (1) · I started with the intention to write the whole book, which would look somewhere around 20 or so chapters. I knew it wouldn't have happened in the end, but I wanted to set the end goal for myself. (1) · I started with what got me into photography and how it changed my point of view with art, and how to create stories behind the art from one’s view. (1) · I was going to talk about dance and show my solo. (1) · I was going to track my progress both in improvement of quality but also how my store had gone (thanks COVID). (1) · It started as a self love project, but over time I realized that it wouldn't be possible to finish in quarantine. So, I decided to make a photography website (1) · Making a water to combustible gas conversion engine. (1) · My capstone project was an indoor irrigation system for the plants on top of the book shelves in the Commons. The irrigation system was to be automated and would only need for the reservoir to be filled every so often; everything else would be taken care of by the system. The system would run off of (1) · My initial plan was to create a book where I put my photography and literature media all together. (1) · My original project was going to be a video game coded in C# with a team of two other people aiding in code, assets, and sound design. (1) · My proposal was a history of art and why people keep making it. (1) · Originally, I proposed teaching incarcerated women speech and debate as my documented capstone experience. I planned on teaching two units—a beginner and an advanced class—that met once a week at either David L. Moss Correctional Center in Tulsa or Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud. (1) · Originally, my capstone started out with expanding my skill set with different kinds of printmaking to expand my portfolio. I had planned on doing three linoleum prints, three etchings, and printing on textile with soft blocks. The linoleum and the etching pieces were going to be a series of three, (1) · Photography was the starting project and is the continued project. (1) · Starting a Photography Business (1) · The first project I had decided on was to make a book of simple pleasures, in order to create something that could have a positive impact on both me and other people. In a way I came back around to that same theme although centralized on gardening and horticulture. (1) · Well, when I first did my proposal I first was planning on doing it on what I learned from the EMSA program, but I felt like it wasn't enough information for it. (1)

None (2) · After deciding not to write the book, I felt more comfortable and natural making my capstone with a piano rather than a pencil. I started spending hours at the piano at home. Those three simple notes that gave me the idea for my song were being explored in all different ways I wanted it to go. At first it was all about my EMSA program experience, but I felt like I didn't have enough information on it so I decided to d (1) · For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · Honestly I changed my plan a lot, I was supposed to make a magazine, I ended up making a little online portfolio. But also to add I think this turned out way better then I thought, as I started getting paid for my design work as I started to work with more people. (1) · I added information about the services they provide. (1) · I completely changed mine because I was behind already, school ended, and this is what I could come up with. (1) · I completely started over and changed my entire project. (1) · I couldn’t do some things because of not being able to be at school to receive help. (1) · I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1) · I expanded the journal with drawings and utility. (1) · I had to change from a tri-fold like presentation to a slideshow which honestly in hindsight worked a lot better and I was able to fit a lot more information on it. (1) · I had to ditch the poster-board aspect due to the circumstances, and my goals for me have evolved majorly since it was assigned as well. That lesson of learning how to learn is still very important, but now it's more focused on discipline and being emotionally healthy. (1) · I have tracked my progress leading up to my store opening and my improvements in quality. (1) · I instead ended up writing 3 chapters and editing them, and, while I'm not the most proud of how they turned out, I'm glad I was able to finally put out some drafts for later writing. (1) · I used a poem and added my two other dances. (1) · It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. In order for the new system to work I had to completely change the way that the water was going to flow to the plants. (1) · My capstone experiences ended up being a blend of non-profit work and teaching. While it didn't follow my initial proposal, what I learned throughout my experience has informed elements of how I am approaching the speech and debate program for incarcerated women. Overall, I decided that I wanted exp (1) · My first idea was scrapped because I found that I didn’t have a passion for any practical job and couldn’t be happy with settling for an office job. (1) · My plan did change because I wasn’t planning on making a video, I was planning on making a clear display with my photos hanging and lights around them with what I wrote in the center of my display. (1) · Not everything went exactly as I planned it! While I didn't ever change the premise of my Capstone, I had a lot of issues with productivity and eventually, a lack of supplies. I went from aiming for 24-25 models, down to 18, and finally, 16. I think, on my part, I was trying too hard and trying to d (1) · Realizing I have no money for it. (1) · The core of it went well and I'm pleased with my portfolio. However, as an extra thing I had wanted to include a video to play alongside my portfolio at the capstone booth that would've been essentially a sped up slideshow of all my negatives. They would be in order from freshman year to my senior y (1) · The game project would have needed more time for us to fully learn Unity and C#, so we were forced to switch to building a computer. This project was still at least in the field of computer science so it still applied to what I will go on to study in college. (1) · The video was a complete 180 from what I was going to do, which was a bulletin board, but I think it turned out pretty well. (1) · Things absolutely did not go as planned, and I changed my project idea multiple times. In the end, a combination of procrastination, executive dysfunction, depression, and inability to focus left me with nothing to work with and little time to put something together. The events of the past month mad (1) · Things did go as planned when I moved to doing art work. I was doing the Children's museum and then I changed it to art because I know more about art. (1) · Things didn't really go as planned at all. I was excited for the upcoming Musical at our school, but Covid-19 started to spread and unfortunately school had to close and the musical was cancelled. Originally I was going to describe my experience as a Stage Manager, but then I decided to include how (1) · Things went as planned, and I ended up doing way more than I thought. I imagined this project being way smaller, but then again it is only the beginning of this project too. (1) · Unfortunately my idea for the etchings went out the window as the trip was postponed. Also, etching is a difficult type of printmaking that requires the copper plate to be dipped in acid. Without my own studio, doing these would prove impossible. I was able to finish one of the big linoleum plates a (1) · We weren't able to film any of it. (1) · Yes I planned but it got ruined so I had to do it at home. My plan was to perform while selling my art work. We saw this coming, too. (1) · Yes Things went as planned and no nothing was adjusted. (1)

None (1) · A learned why people hate graffiti and think it’s a crime. I’m learning it as if I was just born. (1) · As I started going I learned I just like really only doing graphic work and also making one at a time. Not involving my other interest (as much as I love photography), but just focusing on one thing—it’s nice and more fun for me that way. I think my biggest take away is that although my work isn (1) · Crocheting is a learning process—you have to have determination and dedication to improve and develop your own styles and preferences. (1) · Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a (1) · I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start (1) · I had a good time painting and making the project. (1) · I had to quit scooting shortly after the problem, so I wish I was able to make it better sorry. (1) · I learned a lot about me, and the "demons" I have. I feel not near as powerless as I did to them even just a little while ago. I'm learning to heal the mental things that need to be healed and grow in a healthy way, and not feel like a core part of me is a mistake and has to be hidden away. (1) · I learned a lot about myself. I also learned a lot of new art mediums and started looking at it with an even broader perspective. This year I learned a lot, and with learning changes your perspective of things... It makes you better! (1) · I learned I actually really enjoy color film and I think I'll be using it a lot more often now. (1) · I learned that Germany's at fault for bring Lenin into Russia which was a really risky move that I'm not entirely sure was worth it. (1) · I learned that it is a lot harder to do something than to say you're going to do them. I wanted to compensate for what I felt insecure about, and struggled a lot because of it. I think my takeaway, really, is to pace myself. I would go between periods of excess and then nothing at all, and felt a lo (1) · I learned that it takes time and focus. (1) · I learned that you shouldn't be afraid to put yourself out there. My takeaway is that this project is very important to me. (1) · I learned the important values of responsibility, dedication, teamwork, and leadership. (1) · I learned there are many opportunities you can try from seeing everybody's presentation and you might want to try out that for your own career. I wish I could be hands-on, showing you guys what I'm really capable of. (1) · I love working with animals and will look into careers with animals. (1) · I now know with great detail how all the parts in a computer fit together and can build a computer from the ground up without the assistance of my friend and mentor. (1) · I really love what I’ve made, even if it doesn’t blow you away on the surface, this journal could really morph into something amazing. Sic parvis magna. (1) · I was overworking myself and took on too big of a workload. (1) · I wish I'd added more pictures in my video. (1) · I wouldn't say I have any takeaways from the capstone itself, but I do think it served as a catalyst to hone in on my photography. (1) · I've grown immensely as a writer, both objectively and subjectively. I learned how to write and compose scenes of a narrative more clearly, and to make less mistakes and convey my image in better ways. The most important thing I gained from this project however, was better confidence in my own writi (1) · I've realized I wasn’t happy with living a practical life. I’m not sure if I will go into animation but it’s my #1 option right now. It has the perfect balance of something I like to do and something that is difficult. (1) · I’ve learned that one idea takes you to another, and becomes bigger than you were even planning on making it. (1) · It’s one of the coolest things when you type all the code out and it works perfectly on the website (1) · Like everything in the world right now, life is unpredictable. Things don't go as planned and that’s very true with art as well. Learning how to adapt to how life is currently and finishing out my senior year has had it difficulties, but like with anything you can’t give up and quit. Printmaking (1) · One of my takeaways from my capstone—and senior year as a whole—is to define what your limits are and to be realistic and flexible with your expectations for yourself. Sometimes, what seems like a "waste of time" can end up being fundamental in how you move forward. The capstone experience taugh (1) · Overall I've learned that I'm capable of writing sheet music. I've improved my playing skills and I've also greatly improved my sheet music skills. Knowing that I created this song makes me feel even more confident about the other works I will come to create in my life. I've also learned that gettin (1) · That art work has been going on for a while and art can change your view of it (1) · That I might want to work with children as a career. (1) · The project is nothing like I pictured it would be in the beginning, but I think that's okay. The purpose of capstone was to get us to do something new, and, in kind of an indirect way, I have done that. Hopefully that will be enough. Nothing about this end to my senior year is really satisfying or (1) · Things often fall apart. (1)
